*built from full thickness 2x10 Douglas fir lumber: each board is 1.5" thick

Douglas fir is a strong, beautiful wood that is naturally rot- and insect-resistant. The entire bed is sealed with natural linseed oil to protect the wood, to help it to withstand rain and earth, and also to contribute a nice warm finish. Screws are galvanized for no rust and long life. Decorative corner posts add a classy look. Tops of the posts are sealed with polyurethane to resist water intrusion and splitting of the end grain.

Please note that custom sizing with any dimension approximately 30" or greater incurs **significant** oversize charges from the shipping carriers; local delivery (to parts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire) is available at an hourly rate.
